Alma 7:23

I love Alma 7:23.  I just finished memorizing it today, and passed it off to my roommate.  A few things that stood out to me in it are as follows.  First, The second thing, following humility (or recognizing our dependance upon God) is the invitation to be submissive (obedient to his will, and also I believe willing to listen and fulfill the requests of others).  Second, the phrase "easy to be entreated" is a phrase to ponder.  I believe that as we allow ourselves to enjoy what we are doing more, it will lead to greater happiness, and also as we develop the "ease" to be entreated, I can show greater appreciation and love to others.

So, I invite you to memorize a verse, and then ponder it.  It's a great way to take scripture from the book to through the mind, and eventually to the heart.

I know the Book of Mormon is True

4 Jul 2012 I know that this book has power to bring spiritual light to the life of those that read it. As I have studied it, I have grown closer to God and recognized his influence more in my life.  It teaches about Jesus Christ. I love Him.  For this and many other reasons this book is a treasure to me.  I know that it is divinely inspired. I invite you to read it with eyes open to look for how it can bring you closer to God and change you to be more perfect.  These pages teach that we are truly sons and daughters of God.  As his children we are loved more than we can imagine.  We can feel and learn of this love if we study this book with an open heart. I know that the Book of Mormon is a guide that can lead us back to God, our Eternal Father if we will apply it in our lives.
